Special SBS Brake Discs for Royal Danish Air Force Fire Trucks
SBS has made an agreement with "Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization" (DALO) on supply of brake discs for the "Eagle 6 Crashtender" fire trucks used by the Royal Danish Air Force.
The brake discs weigh almost 40 kg each and have a diameter on 42 cm. They are specially developed and manufactured for this application in high carbon cast iron featuring excellent thermal conductivity when braking down the heavy vehicles.
Besides a product of better material quality than the previously used discs, the agreement provides for significant shorter lead times.
The "Eagle 6 Crashtender" of the Royal Danish Air Force will in the future be equipped with SBS brake discs.
