New generation DS sinter compound proves it efficiency
7 March 2011
Since autumn SBS has experimented with adjusting process parameters for the company's top road racing brake compound - SBS Dual Sinter. End of February the process- modified compound really proved its efficiency when Team Althea Racing top rider Carlos Checa scored his first double win of the season at Philip Island, Australia in World Superbike championship braking his Ducati with this new generation of Dual Sinter pads produced according to the new parameters.
SBS race manager Allan Østli concludes: "The Dual Sinter
compound has been in our range for some years. With a lot of
success. With the new DS generation we have optimized the compound
further. Checa's performance at Philip Island proves that the brake
performance is unique. Furthermore we are very satisfied with its
durability. For warm-up session and two races Checa used the same
set of SBS 845 DS!"
